The night of the 2016 election, I kept hammering shots of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Before everything went to shit, I was properly unconscious, and I wish I was still there for every day Donald Trump has been in office. For someone who cares as much about our political system as much as I do, every day since then has been absolute hell.
Despite the fact that Democrats keep running away from the 50 state strategy in districts like my own LA-3, there is still a decent chance of taking back both the House, and the Senate.
I believe impeaching Donald Trump will be unlikely with his support in Congress, but a blue wave could stop his administration’s assault on the rest of America leading up to the 2020 elections.
This Tuesday, I will cast my vote for my friend Rob Anderson. Although I had no intention a year ago of becoming involved with a political campaign, here I am, and it has cost me nearly everything.
I love America. For all of her faults, this is the place I call home. I’ve thought about moving away. I’ve thought about letting it all bur in my absence, but I care too much to give up. The blue wave is coming, but only if you get off your asses and vote.
